Opting Out
It is easy to switch on or offCustomers of Phorm partner ISPs can "switch off" Webwise or the OIX simply by going to www.webwise.com. The ISPs are encouraged to communicate this choice to customers through a variety of methods, including banner ads, emails and more.
If Webwise or the OIX is available to them by their ISP, a user's status (ON or OFF) will be recognized on the homepage of Webwise.com, and the option to Switch Off or Switch On will be offered depending on which they have currently selected.
If a user does not have OIX or Webwise available to them, no opt-out option will be offered and general text will be seen.
